Internships

 

Step behind the scenes of the fashion industry with a summer internship at the Saint Louis Fashion Fund.  Spend your summer learning the ins and outs of the fashion world through the lens of a start-up creative non- profit organization. Build professional experience and enhance your resume while working at the beautiful Saint Louis Fashion Incubator in the historic downtown St. Louis garment district!

Available Internships Include:
 

Development/Finance

Dig into the exciting world of nonprofit development and fundraising while perfecting your communication skills through meaningful interactions with an array of important Saint Louis donors and patrons of the arts. This position includes planning donor events, gaining experience with the Salesforce database, and working on donor communications, including creating the annual report. The intern will also support meeting scheduling and setup, mailings, and administrative functions. A desire to work in nonprofit fundraising is a plus.

Community Outreach/Education

Assist with our summer community outreach and educational programming, including our
Summer Fashion Intensive for high school students in collaboration with COCA. Help create and
run an array of fun programs for our fashion truck and more! Machine sewing and/or teaching
experience a plus.

Marketing/Digital Media/PR

Learn how businesses stay on brand and on message through external communications. Work on original website content, communicate with influencers, observe staff and designers during media interviews, and even take over our Instagram account! Proficiency with Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Photoshop, Canva, and Mailchimp is a plus.

Designer Recruitment/Support

Assist with Incubator designer programming and sales opportunities, as well as recruitment for the next Incubator designer class. Fashion knowledge or passion for fashion a must. Detail- oriented, strong writing skills, ability to present ideas clearly and concisely. Proficiency with Powerpoint, Microsoft Office, and Excel is a plus.

Intern projects in all categories can be tailored to your unique areas of interest.

Anticipated internship dates are June 1, 2018 – August 1, 2018. Timing is flexible based on candidate schedule.

Approximately 20 hours per week.

One intern will be selected as the 2018 Saint Louis Fashion Fund Summer Fellow and will receive a stipend of $1,500. Please indicate in your cover letter if you wish to be considered for the stipend.
