Threads is the signature biennial fundraiser of the Missouri Historical Society. The event embodies the mission of the institution and raises funds to continue the important work to preserve the history of our region. One of the key parts of the mission for the Missouri Historical Society is to serve as a confluence of historical perspectives and contemporary issues. Threads, which pairs a historical textile with a modern fashion design, does exactly that. Each piece of clothing designed is, in essence, a conversation between the past and the present, drawing on history to inform modern creative expression.

Saint Louis Fashion Fund, in partnership with Washington University in St. Louis and Caleres is proud to present the one and only American fashion icon Michael Kors, on Monday, April 1, from 4 to 5 p.m., in Graham Chapel on the campus of Washington University.

Fashion industry professionals and educators from St. Louis, Kansas City, Columbia, Springfield, and Cape Girardeau are planning a full day of meetings with legislators to talk about the importance of fashion’s $13.3 billion industry and how we can work closer together in the future to grow the industry statewide.

The purpose of our annual Fashion Show Fundraiser is to showcase the talent & diversity at TCT,  and to highlight our business partners and raise the needed funds to continue offering free On the Job Training to those interested in a career in Fashion.  This supports the budding Fashion ecosystem of St. Louis.
