Thanks to a generous donation from Lori Sale and Fran Slutsky made in memory of their mother, Miki Zimring, Saint Louis Fashion Fund is proud to announce a new partnership with Miki’s Closet, a 20-foot long vehicle outfitted with state-of-the art designer equipment.
Miki’s Closet will bring a wide array of education programming to community centers, schools and special events. The vision of the program is to give students an introduction to the fashion industry and the jobs available in the business including but not limited to design, production, retail and associated careers. Outfitted with state-of-the-art designer equipment, students will have an opportunity to participate in:
- Hands-on workshops, tours, talks and trunk shows led by SLFI designers.
- Events with fashion industry leaders brought to St. Louis for SLF’s Speaking of Fashion series.
- Special scholarships to attend summer programs at Savannah College of Design.
- Other sales events scheduled throughout the region.
Stay tuned for more details around this exciting initiative!
