St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones hosted a ceremony honoring fashion icon Karlie Kloss this morning, dedicating a portion of Washington Avenue to her legacy.

The quiet ceremony for Karlie Kloss Way kicked off with a speech for Mayor Jones about Kloss’ undeniable influence in the fashion industry and tech world. “Karlie is super everything,” Jones said. “She’s supermodel, super coder, super entrepreneur and most of all, super mom.”

After a brief speech, Kloss took the stage to a round of applause, expressing with teary eyes gratitude towards St. Louis and the importance of fashion to the city. The Webster Groves High School graduate touched on her time in school and her passion for arts — and shouted out our fashionable mayor.
